Gas emissions from agricultural soils are inherently variable, which makes cross-validating our equipment very important! In preparation for a new growing season, our graduate students checked the consistency of gas emission equipment at the same locations. We’re also trying out a new gas chamber, a larger square area, which may better represent our heterogenous soils. These comparisons ensure our data will be accurate and consistent across chambers and equipment!
