
Postdoctoral research associate
Dr. Soonho Hwang is a postdoctoral research associate in the Lee lab. He was a visiting scholar for three years in ABE at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in rural systems engineering from Seoul National University. His previous research primarily focused on hydrologic and water quality modeling and monitoring to identify effective management practices for sustainable agriculture. His current research involves applying machine learning to chemometrics, and he aims to expand his expertise in machine learning and deep learning for future studies in advanced agricultural management. Another area of his current research is investigating the role of canola as a double crop in the U.S.
