Nakian (Nak Hyun) Kim

Nakian is a postdoctoral research associate in the Institute of Sustainability, Energy, and Environment at the University of Illinois. He strives to contribute to sustainable agriculture by studying the effects of agricultural practices on the agroecosystems. His expertise is in soil sciences, microbial community, cover crops, statistics, and greenhouse gas emissions. Nakian has a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Crop Sciences from University of Illinois. Nakian plans to move to UC Berkeley to research biofuel algae as a postdoctoral scholar.
