Marissa is a field research assistant that works for the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Environment at the University of Illinois. She has several years of agriculture research working in corn and soybeans. Marissa assists on the CABBI (Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation), SMARTFARM (Systems for Monitoring and Analytics for Renewable Transportation Fuels from Agricultural Resources and Management) and Hemp trials. She assists in trial layouts, planting, plot maintenance, data collection, soil sampling, processing soil samples, gas sampling and more.
