Heesu is a graduate student in the Crop Sciences department. He received both his B.S in Bio-Environmental Chemistry and his M.S. in Agri-Chemistry from Jeonbuk National University in Jeonbuk, South Korea. His research focuses on advancing sustainable agriculture with planting perennial crops and improving the efficiency of fertilizers to prevent water pollution. Heesu is also interested in greenhouse gases (specifically carbon sequestration and nitrous oxide emissions) and the improvement of biodiversity in agroecosystems.
